We develop hardware and software to help developers, educators and businesses build robotics and IoT applications. Our work brings together visual programming, connected devices and natural interaction through voice and gestures.
ROS 2 demo: camera tracking and Arduino Braccio robot arm control
Tactigon began at Next Industries in 2017 with a simple ambition: make interaction with technology more natural.
Our early work explored how wearable sensors and gesture recognition could translate human movement into commands for robots, devices and software. Voice recognition extended that approach, opening new ways to interact with connected systems.
Those experiments shaped a broader direction: helping people connect the tools behind an application, as well as the ways they control it.

My Daddy is a Maker · A look back at the origins of Tactigon
A robotics project brings together application logic, communication protocols, hardware and user interaction. Making these parts work together is a central part of development.
SHAPE builds on our experience with an integrated Docker environment combining visual programming, ROS 2, an MQTT broker, Ollama integration and GEAR. Developers can connect devices and services, build application logic and add voice or gesture inputs where their project needs them.
Our projects have explored gesture-controlled robot arms, voice commands and remote interaction through MQTT.
More recent applications connect camera tracking with ROS 2 and an Arduino Braccio robot arm, use SKIN gestures to control robot movements, and connect external services through APIs.
These applications guide how we develop Tactigon: through practical projects that bring software and the physical world together.
